About SA Lotto

Lotto is the main game of South Africa’s National Lottery, run by Sizekhaya since 1 June 2026. Draws are held every Wednesday and Saturday evening. Six numbers from 1 to 52 are drawn, plus a Bonus Ball; match all six to win the jackpot, which rolls over when nobody wins it.

The same tickets can also play Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto 5 Max (Lotto Plus 2 until June 2026). Each is a separate draw with its own numbers and jackpot, shown under the main Lotto result above.

SA Lotto questions

When is the SA Lotto draw?

Every Wednesday and Saturday evening, with Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto 5 Max drawn the same night.

What happened to Lotto Plus 2?

It was renamed Lotto 5 Max when Sizekhaya took over the National Lottery on 1 June 2026. Lotto 5 Max has a “Jackpot Cascade”: if nobody wins its jackpot in the last draw of the month, it goes to the next prize division.

Did the SA Lotto numbers change?

Yes. Since June 2026 you pick six numbers from 1 to 52 (it was 1 to 58). The odds of the jackpot are now 1 in 20,358,520.

How quickly are SA Lotto results added?

We check for new SA Lotto results every hour, so the latest draw normally appears here within an hour or two of the draw. Each draw also gets its own page with the full prize breakdown.

How do I check my SA Lotto ticket?

Pick the draw date, enter your numbers in the checker on this page and press "Check my numbers". It shows which prize tier you matched and what that tier paid in that draw.
