How we check lottery results

Lotteries.com publishes results, prize breakdowns and statistics for 21 lotteries and numbers games, including France Lotto, SA Lotto, SA Powerball, Daily Lotto, the UK 49s, Powerball and EuroMillions. This page explains where those results come from, how quickly they appear and what to do if you think one is wrong.

Where our results come from

Winning numbers, jackpots and prize payouts come from a commercial lottery-data provider that collects them from each official operator. We don’t type results in by hand. Every draw is stored under its own game only, so one lottery’s numbers can never appear on another lottery’s page.

How quickly results appear

During the hours when draws take place, we check for new results every 20 minutes, and every game is checked in full once a day. Most results appear within about 20 minutes of the draw. Prize amounts can take longer, because operators publish them after the numbers, and we add them as soon as they are released.

Each results page shows when we last checked it for new results.

Dates and times

Each draw keeps the date its own lottery gives it. Our results today and results yesterday pages use South African dates, so the US Powerball and Mega Millions draws, held late at night in the US, are listed under the US date even though South Africa sees them the next morning. Draw times are the operators’ published times, shown in South African time (SAST) where we’ve confirmed them.

Statistics

Hot and cold numbers, overdue numbers and other statistics are calculated from the same draws, and only from draws played under each game’s current rules. A game that changed its number range, such as SA Powerball in June 2026, starts its statistics again from the change. Every draw is random: statistics describe the past and can’t predict the next draw.

Corrections

If you think a result on this site is wrong, please tell us, with the game and the draw date. We check it against the official operator and correct it.

Always confirm a win with the official operator

We work to keep every result accurate, but the official operator’s result is the one that counts. Check a winning ticket with the operator, or where you bought it, before you rely on it or throw it away:
