About Mark Six
Mark Six is Hong Kong’s only legal lottery, run by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. It is drawn three times a week, usually on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (sometimes Sunday) at 9:30pm Hong Kong time. Six numbers from 1 to 49 are drawn, plus an Extra Number from the same balls.
How to play Mark Six
A unit costs HK$10. Pick six numbers from 1 to 49. Match all six to share the First Division prize, which is at least HK$8 million and rolls over when nobody wins it. The Extra Number counts for the 2nd, 4th and 6th Divisions. The lower prizes are fixed: HK$40 for three numbers up to HK$9,600 for four numbers plus the Extra Number.
Snowball draws
Several times a year, for festivals such as Lunar New Year, the Jockey Club tops up the First Division prize from a reserve fund, a "Snowball" draw. In 2026 the 50th anniversary Snowball on 2 May was estimated at a record HK$228 million.
Mark Six odds
The chance of the First Division prize is 1 in 13,983,816. The odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 54.
