Lotto Max

Lotto Max is Canada’s biggest national lottery, sold across every province and territory by the regional lottery corporations. Since its launch in 2009 it has produced some of the largest jackpots in Canadian history, and lottery prizes in Canada are paid tax-free.

Each C$6 play gives you four sets of seven numbers from 1 to 52 — you choose one set (or Quick Pick) and the other three are generated for you. Seven main numbers and one bonus number are drawn; match all seven on any line to win the jackpot. (Before 14 April 2026 a play cost C$5, had three lines and used numbers 1 to 50.)

Lotto Max is drawn every Tuesday and Friday at around 10:30 pm Eastern Time. Results appear here shortly after each draw, and you can check a ticket against the past year of draws with the number checker.

The jackpot starts at C$10 million and rolls over until someone wins it, up to a cap of C$90 million (raised from C$80 million in April 2026). From C$50 million, extra Maxmillions prizes of C$1 million each are added. Every draw also includes MaxPlus prizes of C$100,000 — one for each million in the jackpot, so a C$30 million jackpot comes with 30 of them.

The odds of matching all seven numbers on a single line are 1 in 133,784,560 — because every C$6 play includes four lines, that works out to about 1 in 33.4 million per play. Matching three numbers wins a free play, at odds of about 1 in 28 per line.
